Mike Starr has been arrested and jailed after being found with pills he did not have a prescription for. According to TMZ.com, Starr was found with anti-anxiety drug Xanax and Opana. He had six pills of each.
He was arrested in Utah on Thursday (February 17) and has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He is being held on bail of $20,000 (£12,300). Seems a little harsh for such a small amount of prescription drugs.
Last year the Bassist appeared on reality show Celebrity Rehab to help fight his heroin addiction. He reappeared on the show later in the year to act as a role model for new contestants.
Starr left Alice In Chains in 1993, after recording on the 1992 album ‘Dirt’ and has taken no part in their reunion.
