Double J have revealed their list of the 50 most overlooked songs of the ’90s and it’s packed with tunes for you to discover this weekend.
The countdown will play on Double J from 1pm today but they’ve revealed the list early so that you can familiarise yourself a little.
Forget Nirvana and Pearl Jam, this is not your average ’90s countdown. In fact, there’s a large chance you won’t recognise a lot of these songs.
It’s been topped by Not From There, an Aussie rock band that were formed in the UK but later relocated to Brisbane. ‘Sich Offnen’ is the song, from a record called Sand On Seven which bagged the band an ARIA.
Elsewhere on the list, there’s Augie March, Dream Warriors, POP! and plenty more bands that have made songs which have, “fallen by the wayside,” according to the digital station.
