UK electro-post-rock legends 65daysofstatic have followed the recent announcement of their first ever Australian tour with the news that their 2007 album The Destruction of Small Ideas will be released as a deluxe package, featuring a second disc of rarities and B-sides.
The album follows the recent release of the band’s latest record We Were Exploding Anyway/Heavy Sky and will be followed by deluxe releases of their earlier albums One Time For All Time and The Fall of Math in celebration of their first Australian tour.
65daysofstatic formed in 2001 and soon became known for their fearsome sound – a blend of live electronics, drum and bass beats and the pummelling build and dynamics of post-rock. They have shared stages with the likes of The Cure, Battles, and Metallica, and featured at the world’s biggest festivals such as Summersonic and Sonisphere.
While their records showcase their genre-bending experimental rock, their live show is a dynamic force that has made them one of the most popular instrumental touring acts in the world.
The Destruction of Small Ideas features the band’s hybrid sound, crossing indie, post rock, metal, hardcore and electronica, including a guest appearance from Circle Takes the Square.
