FOMO Festival is very, very close, rolling through early next year with Flosstradamus, Empire Of The Sun, Desiigner and heaps more.
If you want to cure your FOMO then grabbing a ticket to the festival is your best bet but while the festival can cure that FOMO there’s some it can’t.
All the artists on the lineup have had an incredible year and with that comes some serious FOMO-inducing moments.
We’re going to run you through some of the most wild, mind-blowing experiences that artists on the lineup have had this year. Caution: you may get very, very jealous.
Desiigner Rapping For Anna Wintour
Most people wouldn’t want to run into Anna Wintour in a dark alley but she actually seems to have a soft spot for hip-hop. She’s buddies with Kanye West and she looked stoked when Desiigner laid down some bars for her while modelling at Vogue. He did an acapella version of Timmy Turner and she even cracked a smile. Desiigner was just as happy but then again, when doesn’t Desiigner look happy?
Empire Of The Sun Performing On Ellen
Strangely, Empire Of The Sun‘s six year old hit Walking On A Dream had a resurgence this year thanks to spots on a few television commercials. It became huge in the US and brought Empire to the Ellen show which is basically a sign that you’ve made it. As per any Empire performance, it looked like a warped and wonderful dream. Ellen loved it and Luke Steele got to stand with her on a moving platform.
George Maple Performing At Splendour In The Grass
Everyone who was at Splendour this year would know that What So Not’s set in the Mix-Up tent was a main attraction. It was packed to the hilt and the atmosphere was electric. While it was goosebump-raising to watch it from the crowd it would’ve been even more powerful to watch the crowd from the stage. George Maple got to do just that as she took to the stage with him to perform Buried. It looks incredible and her bellowing voice fills the tent with ease.
Peking Duk Making The Daily Mail For Not Trimming Pubes
Everything about Peking Duk’s life is FOMO-inducing but what more could you want than to make it onto the Daily Mail with a headline that includes the word “pubes”. Sure it’s a niche form of FOMO but it’s a pretty impressive feat. The duo were chatting to Nova when Reuben Styles candidly announced that he hadn’t trimmed his pubes in 12 months. Usually those sort of comments don’t make headlines but the Daily Mail picked it up and ran with it. And the boys love it.
GoldLink At Laneway Festival
GoldLink was in the country early this year for Laneway Festival and if you were there, you’ll know exactly why he’s coming back so soon. He’s an incredible live performer and he gives 100 per cent to the crowd. He had every Laneway stop bouncing ferociously particularly during his mid-set rage to ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. If you weren’t there, you’re bloody lucky he’s coming back so you can cure your FOMO.
Metro Boomin At SXSW With Drake
SXSW is essentially a festival for new talent but occasionally giants drop by and that’s exactly what happened this year. Drake turned up during Metro Boomin’s set and by the sounds of it the crowd went absolutely nuts. Metro Boomin even came out from behind the decks to throw some dance moves to tracks he’s produced for Drake like ‘Jumpman’. We’re not saying Drake’s going to turn up at FOMO but Metro Boomin always brings the heat regardless of who is on-stage with him

Flosstradamus At Lollapalooza And Hard Summer
From the set design to the tunes, the Flosstradamus live experience is unlike any other. Festivals is where they thrive and this video recapping their sets at Lollapalooza And Hard Summer shows exactly that. A crowd of thousands and thousands all had warning signs in the air at Lollapalooza and then when you think it can’t get any bigger they bring Chance The Rapper out on-stage. Absolutely insane.
