Shoegazing Brooklyn-based crew A Place to Bury Strangers have announced shows throughout both Australia and New Zealand, as they continue exhibiting their latest album Worship to the world.
The group were last here back in 2010 in support of their 2nd full-length album, the aptly named Exploding Head. New Zealand, however, will be experiencing A Place to Bury Strangers live for the first time, which is pretty cool for our Kiwi cousins.
Formed in 2001, the band is now down to only one original member, Oliver Ackermann. Once handling the stix duties, Ackermann is now up front on guitar and vocals.
Worship sees the band continue proudly with their vivid, heavy wall of harmonious shoegaze noise, often compared to that of My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain and the like.
Check out the dates below, which include a stop-off on the Auckland leg of Laneway. Tickets on sale 15th November.
