A$AP Rocky Could Release His New Album As Early As Friday

A$AP Rocky seems to be teasing a Friday release date for his forthcoming album Testing.

The rapper livestreamed a performance piece at New York City auction house Sotheby’s yesterday announcing that the album was finished while he held up the cover.

He then put a picture on his Instagram with the caption ‘525’ which many are translating to the date 25th May.

Rocky is also Complex‘s cover star this month. Following their story with him, which discussed the new album at length, they put the cover up on Instagram with the caption “5.25” further leading fans to believe the album will drop this Friday.

During the interview with Complex, Rocky revealed who has collaborated to the album and it’s an A-list bill.

Tyler, The Creator, Hector Delgado, Kanye West, Dean Blunt, Dev Hynes, Skepta, Frank Ocean and more have contributed to the record.

“Working with those two guys has been quite the experience,” Rocky said about working with Ocean and Tyler.

“On a creative level, everybody gets it. And not only that, those guys are elite. Those guys are geniuses.”

So far, we’ve heard a handful of new songs from the record including the Moby-sampling ‘A$AP Forever’.

Just this morning, Rocky was announced on the lineup for Listen Out festival. It looks like he’ll have plenty of new material to play by then.
