A$AP Rocky Reportedly Ghosted Donald Trump After Being Released From Swedish Jail

It’s been a few weeks since A$AP Rocky was freed from Swedish jail after being detained, and US President Donald Trump has been reportedly trying to have Rocky publicly thank him…but Rocky is leaving him on read.

In a new feature published by Yahoo News, it is being reported that Rocky’s manager had promised a public thank you from Rocky to President Trump – who was a vocal advocate for Rocky’s release – but has apparently stopped answering his calls.

This is all coming from Darrell Scott, a pastor who was one of Trump’s highest profile African-American surrogates during Trump’s election campaign in 2016, and the public thank you was going to used as a move to strengthen Trump’s relationship with the African-American community – as if just not being a racist wasn’t an option.

“All he had to do was do a two-minute call to say thank you,” Scott said, after saying that Rocky hasn’t even thanked Trump in private.

“Rocky hasn’t even called us and said, ‘Hey, man, thank you guys. I appreciate it,’ in private. Just in private.”

Trump wasn’t the only vocal advocate for Rocky’s release. Plenty of celebrities like Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Rico Nasty, FKA twigs and more rallied behind the cause.

Rocky was detained for over three weeks before being charged with assault, of which he was found guilty of. However, he will not return to prison but instead serve a suspended sentence and pay the plaintiff’s damages.
