Action Bronson Cancels Second Australian Tour For 2014

New York rapper Action Bronson has cancelled a planned Australian tour, which included headline performances at three Australian music festivals, for the second time this year.

Boutique New Year’s festival Beyond The Valley announced in a press release this morning that Action Bronson, real name Arian Asllan, had pulled out of their festival. A brief statement from the rapper’s management reads, “Due to recording commitments Action Bronson has to cancel is upcoming Australian tour.”

Beyond The Valley say they are “disappointed” with the cancellation. Asllan was also a main drawcard on Sydney’s Field Day on New Year’s Day, and Perth’s Origin NYE festival.

Earlier this year, Asllan pulled out of planned appearances at Groovin The Moo and a run of headlining sideshows due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

In lieu of Action Bronson, Beyond The Valley and Field Day have drafted in Sydney’s One Day, organisers convinced that the hip hop supergroup can more than fill the slot.

A typically tongue in cheek statement from the hip hop collective, which consists of members of Horrorshow, Spit Syndicate, Joyride and Jackie Onassis, relays their enthusiasm at their inclusion on the Beyond The Valley lineup.

“To think we didn’t have any plans beyond ruining Jimmy Nice’s new house and leaving him to clean up, now we can ruin his tent with buddies like Nina Las Vegas and Allday and Hermitude and Peking Duk instead! And then, while we leave Jimmy to pick up the shattered pieces of his portable life, we’ll go and ask Mø how to pronounce her name (Mehr? Muerh? Moerhrehr?).”

Raph and Kai from Jackie Onassis will not join One Day at Field Day. Origin NYE are yet to announce if they will find a replacement for Action Bronson.
