UPDATE: M.I.A. & Action Bronson Lead Lineup For Melbourne’s Fresh New Year’s Festival ‘The First NYD’
ORIGINAL STORY: There’s a brand spanking new New Years Day festival hitting Melbourne town this summer and promoters are not f*cking around.
They’ve only confirmed two acts on the inaugural lineup so far, but they’re bloody big’ns! New York rapper Action Bronson will be coming down under to headline proceedings, alongside homegrown party starters The Presets.
Apart from that, all we have to go on is the official Facebook event, which describes the January 1st festival as “a fresh approach” to NYD celebrations that “aims to deliver multiple stages with a focus on live electronic, hip hop, house and techno”.
It’s all happening on Tuesday, 1st January 2019 at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and tickets are on sale from 5th September.
