Adele paid a moving tribute to victims of the Brussels attacks today when she asked the audience at her London show to shine their mobile phone lights in solidarity.
In the introduction to a gorgeous performance of Make You Feel My Love, the British singer requested the audience hold up their lights and the room glittered spectacularly with the symbol of respect.
“I don’t think I’ve ever actually been so moved in my life during one of my shows,” Adele said after the song. “Thank you very much for doing that.”
The moment was captured on video, with many people on social media making emotional responses to the show and to the attacks, which have claimed the lives of 34 people and injured up to 200 more.
