The three members of Adrenaline Mob who survived the horrific fatal bus crash that claimed the life of their bassist David Z have all suffered “serious injuries” but are expected to pull through.
The Florida Highway Patrol has detailed the injuries of all those involved in Friday’s tragic road accident, revealing that the band’s tour manager Janet Rains is still fighting for her life in hospital with “critical injuries”.
However, the girlfriend of guitarist Mike Orlando has taken to Facebook to confirm that Mike, singer Russell Allen and drummer Jorndan Cannata are all “banged up but okay”.
“My deepest condolences to Dave’s family for their loss,” she posted. “MUSIC IS SUPPOSED TO HEAL!!! NOT HURT!!! I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THE FUCK DO THESE THINGS KEEP HAPPEN??? [sic]”
The metal supergroup’s bassist lost his life in the horror collision, which saw a tractor-trailer veer off the Interstate highway and plough into the group’s RV, which was pulled over on the side of the road with a flat tyre.
The band were on their way to a gig in in St. Petersburg on a tour for their new album We The People when the accident took place.
Tributes have since flowed in from across the heavy music community for David, including from the group’s founding drummer, metal legend Mike Portnoy, who’s shared a string of touching tributes to his fallen friend.
