Airlie Beach Festival Of Music has shared the first line-up announcement for its 2024 line-up, set to take to the titular Whitsundays location from Friday November 8th to Sunday November 10th. Headlining the festival this year will be UK glam-rock band the Sweet, best known for their hits ‘Ballroom Blitz’ and ‘Fox On The Run’. It will mark their return to Australia after over a decade.
Joining the Sweet on this year’s line-up are 80s synth-pop band Pseudo Echo, 90s alternative rock band Jebediah, 2000s pop-rock band Thirsty Merc and Torres Strait Island pop veteran Christine Anu. A full rundown of the first artist announcement, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.

Kevin Mitchell, Jebediah’s frontman (AKA Bob Evans), expressed his excitement over the band’s upcoming festival appearance in a press statement. “We can’t wait for some sand, sun and fruity seltzers,” he said. “It will be our first time, plus we’ll be bringing a brand new album of tunes to play.”
Airlie Beach Festival Of Music returned in November 2021, marking itself as one of the only Australian music festivals able to successfully do so that year. Its 2022 lineup included The Animals, Eskimo Joe, Ben Lee and the Rogue Traders, while last year’s iteration included Ian Moss, Frenzal Rhomb, The Superjesus and the Pierce Brothers.
