Alex Lahey, Beddy Rays And More Are Playing A Huge New Year’s Eve Party In Brisbane This Month

Beloved Brissy venue The Brightside have announced they’ll be farewelling the binfire of a year that was 2020 with a rager featuring performances from the likes of Alex Lahey, Beddy Rays and more.

‘Regards, 2020’ will kick off from 4:30pm on Thursday, 31st December and will also feature live sets from Death By Denim, Cry Club, RAAVE TAPES and Dopamine, plus DJs until late.

In a statement, organisers said that when choosing a lineup to send off “the dumbest year we have lived through”, they picked acts from around Australia who had, against all odds, killed it this year.

That’s certainly quite true – Lahey made it on to the bloody THPS soundtrack, released surprise EP Between the Kitchen and the Living Room, and shared Christmas single ‘Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)’ late last month. Beddy Rays also had a pretty good one despite everything, releasing the excellent singles ‘Better Weather’ and ‘Sobercoaster’.

Meanwhile, Newcastle’s RAAVE TAPES shared a pair of bangers themselves – ‘Red Flag’ and ‘Habitual’ – and Cry Club released their much-anticipated debut album God I’m Such a Mess.

If you’re keen to see out this year with a stellar lineup of artists from around the country, first release tickets for the show are available now.
