Alex Lahey, Missy Higgins & More To Perform On ‘The Sound’ Episode 2

Season three of ABC TV’s Australian music program, The Sound, premiered last Sunday, 7th November. The artists for episode two have now been named.

Missy Higgins leads this week’s lineup, fresh off releasing the single ‘Edge of Something’ (from the TV show Control) and collaborating with Birdz on ‘LEGACY part 2’. Alex Lahey will also perform, having recently returned to the fray with splashy indie-pop tune ‘Spike the Punch’.

Former Preatures frontperson Isabella Manfredi and affable singer-songwriter Fergus James will be on hand to spruik their latest releases, while Merci, Mercy and Jack Froggatt (Mansionair) will unite on a tribute to Gotye feat. Kimbra. This week’s guest presenter is Academy Award nominated actor, Rachel Griffiths.

Episode one was headlined by Vance Joy, who beamed in a performance of his latest single, ‘Missing Piece’, from La Paloma Dance Hall in Barcelona, Spain. Vera Blue returned to The Sound to perform her latest single, ‘Temper’, while WA four-piece Spacey Jane and Arnhem Land surf-rockers King Stingray also joined the fun. Andy Lee (of Hamish and Andy fame) guest hosted.

Tune in to see the live performances from Missy Higgins, Alex Lahey, Isabella Manfredi and Fergus James at 5.30pm this Sunday, 14th November on ABC TV and ABC iview.
