All That Remains Guitarist Oli Herbert Has Died, Aged 44

Oli Herbert, guitarist of Massachusetts metal band All That Remains, has died at the age of 44.

In a statement, Herbert’s bandmates confirmed the musician’s death, writing:

“We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away.

“Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.

“No further details are available at this time. The band and family request that you please respect their privacy and remember Oli by celebrating the great music he made.”

Herbert’s cause of death is currently unknown, however TMZ is reporting that he was found dead in a pond near his Connecticut home. Police reportedly aren’t treating the death as suspicious, but an autopsy will now be performed.

Herbert formed All That Remains in 1998, and last toured Australia with the band as part of Soundwave Festival 2011.

His final album with the band, Victim Of The New Disease, is set for release on 9th November.
