Adelaide rapper Allday has released his final piece of music for 2013, a new single titled Claude Monet, alongside an accompanying music video which you can check out down below. The song is a taste of his forthcoming debut album, which is set for release sometime in early 2014 on his new label ONETWO.
Claude Monet is said to be inspired by the sense of perspective we gain as we grow older. Allday has said of the track: “I guess it’s about growing up and how things get out of control before you know it. Claude Monet was credited with inventing the Impressionist movement and his paintings look blurry up close, but make sense from a distance. So I thought that would be a fitting metaphor.”
The 22-year-old has toured across Australia this year, headlining club shows, playing at festivals like Big Day Out and Groovin The Moo, and even supporting Illy on his national tour in September. Summer will see Allday hit up Breath Of Life Festival in Tasmania, Push Over Festival in Melbourne and O-Fest in Sydney.
