Allday has shared a music video for his Drinking with My Smoking Friends cut ‘Door’ and announces rescheduled dates for his Australian album launch tour due to the ongoing pandemic. The new Hiball-directed clip sees Allday sporting a facial scar, delivering verses while meandering around a junkyard full of smashed up cars.
The tour will now kick off in Melbourne in late September, continuing along through Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in October and wrapping up in Sydney come November. Support for all shows will come from singer-songwriter George Alice and rapper JK-47.
Drinking with My Smoking Friends, Allday’s fourth studio album, arrived back in May of this year and featured singles like ‘After All This Time’, ‘Void’ and ‘Stolen Cars’. The follow-up to 2019’s Starry Night Over the Phone saw him return to Melbourne and collaborate with the likes of Japanese Wallpaper, Hayley Mary, members of DMA’S and more.
“Drinking With My Smoking Friends is about escaping something and finding something new, whether that’s a place, a relationship or something else,” the rapper – aka Tom Gaynor – said at the time of the album’s announcement.
