Amanda Palmer, voice of The Dresden Dolls, returns to Australia this month to enchant fans in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Byron Bay and Brisbane.
The upcoming tour will now feature Amanda Palmer accompanied by a string quartet in Melbourne and Sydney which is sure to add a thrilling new dimension to her live performance.
Supporting her Melbourne, Byron Bay and Brisbane shows is talented cabaret performer Mikelangelo.
Opening the Melbourne performance will be Australian duo Tom Dickins of the eccentric cabaret ‘Where Was I?’ and Jennifer Kingwell, his piano playing ethereal muse.
In the lead up to her tour, which launches in Melbourne on February 26 at Forum Theatre, Amanda Palmer has been thoroughly enjoying what Australia has to offer. She has run Yoga sessions in Sydney, performed a spontaneous show on the steps of the Sydney Opera House to a grateful crowd and is supporting the Save Live Australian Music (S.L.A.M.) Rally taking place in Melbourne’s CBD tomorrow.
