Amy Shark And Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan Are Recording Music Together

Amy Shark has revealed her and Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins have been in the studio together.

Posting a photo of the two of them together, the Gold Coast artist said, “I’ve been obsessed with Smashing Pumpkins my whole life. Tonight I got to tell Billy Corgan that my favourite Pumpkins record is Adore…ps we making music.”

Neither of those facts are crazy surprising, considering her own ‘Adore’ earned her an ARIA award.

Plus she incorporated a bit of ‘Pumpkins into her original ‘I Said Hi’ when she performed in the triple j studios for Like a Version late last year.

Shark’s no stranger to collaborations either, collaborating with Blink 182’s bassist Mark Hoppus on ‘Psycho’ last year.

“I never dreamed of having a member of Blink-182 on a song of mine, I’m shaking so bad I’m that excited.

“Thank you Mark Hoppus, this is the greatest day of my life… I’m now going to go drink heavily somewhere,” she said of the collab.

Amy Shark is nominated for a couple of Queensland Music Awards and will be performing at the Awards night next month.

The artist is also kicking off her biggest Aussie headline tour to date in May.
