Amy Shark Performs At Funeral Of 5-Year-Old Fan Who Died In Boating Accident

Amy Shark has paid tribute to a five-year-old fan called Liam, who died after falling off a boat in Victoria’s Lake Eildon earlier this month.

Fairfax Media reports that the singer-songwriter surprised the boy’s family by attending his funeral on Monday and dedicating a song to him.

One attendee told Fairfax the moment was “absolutely incredible”.

“This will be remembered by his family forever,” they said.

In a post to social media, Amy Shark shared a photo of Liam, and told fans, “I never got to meet Liam, but I will remember him and his family forever. Rest In Peace sweet boy, may my songs be forever in your dreams.”

“I decided to say goodbye to one of my biggest and youngest fans who was taken too soon,” Shark told Fairfax. “A very hard day for the family. It was the least I could do.”

Police have said Liam was wearing a life jacket at the time of his accident, and his family did everything they could, including performing CPR.
