Australian indie-folk pop duo Angus & Julia Stone have announced their sixth studio album, Cape Forrester, which is set to be released on May 10th.
After their venture into the world of video game soundtracks with “Life Is Strange: True Colors” in 2021. The duo is now returning with the new album Cape Forrester with the collection of songs delving into themes of love, society, and human connection.
Angus & Julia Stone Released Their Lead Single From The Album Cape Forrester
The album announcement comes ahead of their newly-released album’s lead single, ‘The Wedding Song’, which was originally written for a friend’s wedding. However, many fans requested to release it, as the duo have previously performed it at their friend ceremonies and weddings, including their mum’s. They shared the story behind their single via a press release “We received so many requests from fans for a proper recording to use on their special day, so we decided to make that happen.
Angus & Julia Stone further explained. “The song is a celebration of love and human connection, In a world that can feel disconnected and frightening, we want to share something that reflects the beauty of how humans choose to treat each other, love each other, and make promises to build something beautiful together.”
The music video is directed by Jarrad Seng, the video showcases ‘The Wedding Song’ with real moments from weddings, echoing the sentiment of love portrayed in the lyrics.
The audience can also look forward to Angus & Julia Stone live on stage, as they embark on an Australia tour later this year in August. The tour is set to be a unique and intimate experience for their audience.
