Anna Lunoe Releases New Single ‘Back Seat’ Ft. Genesis Owusu

Sydney DJ and producer Anna Lunoe has released the new single ‘Back Seat’. The track features vocals from Canberra’s Genesis Owusu.

‘Back Seat’ is a hard and funky house number, with Sydney muso Michael Di Francesco (aka Touch Sensitive) on bass. The track was co-produced by British DJ Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and features co-writing from Jack Glass (aka The Unmade Bed).

Lunoe described the song as “a jam to strut around the place to.” It’s out now via Nina Las Vegas’ NLV Records. Some of the label’s other recent releases include the Pulsers EP by Strict Face, ‘Strongback’ by LEVi and the infectious ‘Where Yuh From’ by Somalian-Australian rapper Big Skeez & Trinadadian-Australian dancehall artist Gold Fang.

Lunoe is an internationally respected DJ, having appeared at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and TomorrowWorld. She is currently the host of danceXL Radio on Apple Music 1.

Owusu released his debut album Smiling With No Teeth in March 2021. It includes the singles ‘The Other Black Dog’ and ‘Don’t Need You’, the latter of which came in at #73 in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2020. Owusu has also appeared on the Pricie single ‘Friendzone’ and the Billy Davis single ‘Dream No More’ this year, as well as releasing Missing Molars, a deluxe multi-disc version of Smiling With No Teeth.
