One quarter of The Big Four, Anthrax , have announced a run of headlining shows while in town for Soundwave 2013. And as if you’d need anything else to coax you into an Anthrax gig, but the addition of Fozzy and This Is Hell sure doesn’t hurt.
Despite hitting the odd rough spot over the years, Anthrax have weathered every storm that’s come their way, only to come out 10 times tougher on the other end. The most recent of these storms would have to be the departure of their guitarist Rob Caggiano from the group just weeks before they head Down Under. They have since dusted themselves off and added Soundwave alumini Shadows Fall guitarist into the mix, and there you have it – tougher than they were before.
It’s fire in all cylinders for the band who have only just released the deets on their forthcoming release Anthems
Fozzy is the sort of thing you need to see to believe. It’s a collection of handsome rockers who can actually rock really, really hard. They would probably laugh at the mention of a super group, but I mean hey, Chris Jerrico and Rich Ward…there’s no other word for it.
Thrash metallers This Is Hell will be kicking things off on the night in one of the most ruthless ways possible. The band, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their forthcoming 4-tracker EP The Enforcer, are sure to be up for road testing some of the new jams as well as busting out a selection from their 4-album back catalogue.
