ARIA Awards 2018 Winners List: LIVE UPDATES

UPDATE: 2018 ARIA Award Winners Announced

ORIGINAL STORY: The 2018 ARIA Awards are taking place at Sydney’s Star Event Centre this evening, with dozens of pointy trophies ready to be awarded to some of the biggest names in the Australian music industry.

While a number of early winners in the ARIA Fine Arts, Artisan and Comedy categories have already been announced, singer-songwriter Amy Shark is the favourite to dominate today’s main event, after picking up nine nominations behind her debut album Love Monster.

Melbourne rocker Courtney Barnett is also riding high with eight nominations, while late Indigenous musician Gurrumul and dance group Pnau have seven nominations each.

The likes of Tash Sultana, Dean Lewis, Peking Duk, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Troye Sivan have also picked up multiple nominations.

Veteran country and pop artist Kasey Chambers will also be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame at tonight’s event, becoming the youngest woman to ever be awarded the honour.

Last year’s ARIA Awards were dominated by Gang Of Youths and Paul Kelly, who claimed a cumulative eight awards between them.

As this year’s ARIA Awards take place, tune in below for live updates on all of the night’s winners, ahead of the televised broadcast.
