ARIA Week 2014 Program Announced

Celebrating its third year, ARIA Week will return in 2014, with a week-long program of gigs, showcases, conferences and events taking place in and around Sydney in celebration of Australian music in the lead-up to the 2014 ARIA Awards.

Running from November 21st until December 4th, ARIA Week features a hugely impressive line-up of acts from across the country that will showcase the dynamic and diverse music the country has to offer.

Sydney will be spoiled for choice with acts like Hilltop Hoods, Kingswood, Megan Washington, Deep Sea Arcade, Buried In Verona, Citizen Kay, Meg Mac and L-fresh The Lion among the acts that will play showcases in venues across the city.

Sony Music Australia’s showcase will be held at Sydney’s Beresford Hotel and will feature performances from Gang Of Youths, Holy Holy, Jackie Onassis and Little Sea. No tickets are available to the public, but Music Feeds will be offering 20 special double passes for the event.

Kings Cross IGNITE: Heat The Street will join the 2014 ARIA Week program for the first time. This free event will take place across a handful of live music venues in Kings Cross from 2.00pm on Sunday, November 23rd, with acts including KLP , M-Phazes, The Potbelleez and many more.

Meanwhile, Paul McGuinness, a man regarded as one of the most successful managers in music who managed U2 for thirty years, will appear for a Q&A session with Australia’s John Watson who has managed Silverchair, Gotye, Missy Higgins and Cold Chisel, at an ARIA Masterclass on Tuesday, November 25th.
