Dutch producer Armin van Buuren has announced that he’s bringing his Armin Only Embrace world tour to Sydney early next year.
Van Buuren is heading out on a world tour in support of his most recent album Embrace where he’ll feature special guests who he collaborated with on the record.
It’s the first time Van Buuren has played headline shows in the country since he brought his Armin Only Intense tour to Sydney and Melbourne in 2014. That full world tour saw Van Buuren play to over 500,000 people over 35 shows on five continents.
He was due to play here in June but the shows were cancelled as the promoter Totem OneLove, also behind Stereosonic, went into voluntary administration.
He was to play both Sydney and Melbourne on that tour but on his 2017 return he’ll only play Sydney.
“I’m still most proud of the Armin Only Intense shows we did in 2014 in Melbourne and Sydney,” Van Buuren said.
“I’ve been to Australia more than a lot of cities in Holland, that’s how much I love it.”
Van Buuren has been voted the #1 DJ in the world five times on DJ Mag‘s annual list and is, understandably, one of the most in-demand DJs in the world.
No word yet on where the show will take place or when tickets are on sale but it’s locked in for 28th January 2017.
