The remaining members of American metalcore act As I Lay Dying, who split from frontman Tim Lambesis earlier this year, have taken to their personal Instagram accounts to share snippets of presumably new material, as well as a mysterious new logo which resembles a large letter W.
As The PRP reports, some digging uncovered that an unnamed band member reportedly registered a domain name for a band called Worshipper back in July 2013. The outlet noted that the site is yet to be activated, however the news seems to suggest the group are moving on to their next project.
The band’s former frontman Tim Lambesis plead guilty to murder-for-hire charges in February, after he attempted to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife. Lambesis is still awaiting sentencing, but reports indicate that the troubled frontman could face up to nine years in prison.
Despite his legal troubles, Lambesis has continued to release new music with his project Austrian Death Machine. The band unveiled their third full-length release, Triple Brutal, earlier this month. The album was funded via an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that raised over $78,000.
The band claimed they will donate royalties from the new album to World Vision, the Christian charity organisation, however Sheryl Watkins, World Vision’s senior communications officer, recently told Noisey that no such arrangement was ever made with the charity. An investigation is pending.
