Travis Scott and Drake are being sued for “inciting mayhem”, which led to injury and death during Scott’s headline performance at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas over the weekend.
A crowd surge during Scott’s set at Houston’s NRG Park on Friday, 5th November left eight people dead and hundreds injured, with police and firefighters naming it a “mass casualty event”. The surge is speculated to have significantly worsened after Drake joined Scott onstage in the latter part of his 75-minute performance.
The Guardian reports that 23-year-old Kristian Paredes, who claims to have sustained severe injuries, is behind the Scott and Drake lawsuit, having appointed Texas personal injury attorneys, Thomas J Henry Law.
Meanwhile, Scott is looking for ways to provide help and support for those impacted by the Astroworld events. TMZ reports that sources close to Scott confirmed “he’ll be fully covering any and all funeral costs that might come about for the families of the 8 people who passed away at the concert this weekend.”

Scott has also cancelled his headline performance at this weekend’s Day N Vegas festival.
