Due to popular demand, Melbourne rockers Augie March have added their fourth, fifth (and final) shows to their “first show back” performances at Melbourne’s Howler this October. The band announced the first set of dates in the last month, and have also confirmed the forthcoming release of a fifth studio album.
The band have been “on hiatus” since 2009, when frontman Glenn Richards moved from Melbourne to Hobart. Since then, communications between Glenn and his fellow band members Adam, Edmondo, Dave and Kiernan “flickered to life”, and they began to work on a new album, which they are making “in their own time” and “under their own steam”.
Earlier in August Augie March shared a brand new song by the name of Definitive History (below). Tickets for Augie March’s new and final reunion tour dates, on Saturday 1st November and Sunday 2nd November, are on sale now. Full tour details are available below.
UPDATE 17/10/14: Augie March have named the five artist who will provide support for them on this upcoming string of hometown shows. Respectively they are Oliver Mann, Teeth & Tongue, Jae Laffer, Jen Cloher and Fraser A. Gorman.
