A man from Sydney has managed to get the trap lord himself, A$AP Ferg, to bless his marriage and surprise his Ferg-loving new wife.
As Pedestrian reports, copywriter Michael Dawson married his wife Jessica earlier this month, and because she listens to The Hood Pope “pretty much 24/7”, Dawson used the opportunity to set up something pretty $pecial.
Dawson says he got in touch with Ferg’s people when the rapper was performing in Sydney back in May, and while he was warned his request might be turned down, Dawson was pretty surprised by Ferg’s reaction.
“He put on a meet-and-greet where people got photos, and the tour manager arranged for me to hang back to ask, then he introduced us and I gave him my spiel,” he says.
“I was so surprised when he said ‘Yeah sure’. He was actually super down with it.”
Ferg’s official tour videographer then filmed Ferg’s video message for the couple’s special day, which was played at the wedding almost six months later — just imagine sitting on that kind of material for that long knowing how much your wife is going to lose her shit when she sees it.
“She was over the moon, she literally couldn’t believe it,” Dawson says. “[Ferg’s] language raised a few eyebrows among the older family members who had no idea who he was but amongst our friends it was pretty huge.”
Dawson has now released Ferg’s blessing online, in a video which he calls “The Ble$$ing Feat. A$AP Ferg”. Catch the full clip, below.
