Aussie music tastemakers Rare Finds have launched a new artist showcase tour that’ll be hitting the east coast in January 2018, featuring the likes of British India (who’ll be playing a DJ set) and rising Sunshine Coast singer-songwriter Ayla.
Rare Finds has been running indie nights in Brisbane and Sydney over the past two years, and now they’re expanding things to Melbourne with their latest run of shows, which are promising to “showcase curated lineups of Australia’s most-promising emerging talent”.
“The Rare Finds nights serve to foster a scene within the Australian indie community and provide a strong live platform for outstanding emerging artists,” says Rare Finds Managing Director Rob Carroll.
“One of the biggest challenges faced by artists, managers and agents at the early stages of an artist’s career, is developing a live following. With the launch of our Melbourne event, we’re now able to provide an east coast touring platform to new acts, so they can play to ready-made crowds, which largely consist of industry, tastemakers and the core local indie community.”
Rare Finds’ new east coast shows will be headlined by Ayla, but will also feature performances from the likes of Royal & Southern Echo, Asha Jefferies, DJ Tom Bloomfield, Otious, Magnets, Aikonawena and The Longboys.
