A few days ago Radiohead announced that they’d be hosting a global streaming event called Live From A Moon Shaped Pool, set to take place in record stores around the world.
The only problem was that Australia was conspicuously absent from the list of countries invited to participate.
Now, all seems to be right once again with the world – with a slew of locations on Australia’s east cost added to the map of locations on the site, as you can see below.
The streaming parties are set to go down this Friday, 17th June – with Australia joining locations in Canada, the USA, Europe, New Zealand, Asia – and even select locations in South America and Africa.
Mojo Record Bar, Red Eye Records, Lem – Hum On King and Sandy’s Music will host parties in Sydney, while Music Farmers Industries, Beatdisc and Abicus Selections make up the other NSW locations. Thornbury Records in Melbourne and Brisbane’s Jet Black Cat Music will also take part.
The only other details known about the event come from the speil on the event website which reads; “AN EXCLUSIVE DAY LONG AUDIO STREAM FROM THE BAND, COMPETITIONS, INSTRUCTIONAL ARTWORKS AND MORE.”
Stay tuned for more information as it emerges and see a list of participating Australian stores here below.
UPDATE 15/06/16: More details have emerged about this week’s streaming event.
