A.B. Original Dominate 2017 Australian Independent Music Award Nominations

UPDATE: The 2017 AIR Award winners have been crowned.

ORIGINAL STORY: Aussie hip-hop duo A.B. Original have nabbed five AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels Association) Music Award nominations, making them the most nominated artist of this year’s crop.

The awards, which honour the country’s best and brightest indie recording artists, have been running since 2006, with the 11th annual ceremony to go down at at Adelaide’s Queen’s Theatre on Thursday, 27th of July.

A.B. Original are up for the ‘Best Independent Album Or EP’, ‘Best Independent Single’, ‘Breakthrough Independent Artist’ and ‘Best Independent Hip-Hop Album’ gongs off the back of their debut record Reclaim Australia, as well as the big one – ‘Best Independent Artist’ – at this year’s bash.

They’ll do battle against the likes of D.D. Dumbo, Flume, Alex Lahey and Ali Barter for top honours.
