After celebrating a successful inaugural year in 2021, the BE Social festival is back this August for another run.
The event, backed by Queensland Tourism, Mackay Tourism and local councils, will be staging the music festival at Harrup Pack on August 6. Performing at the event are some bonafide party starters, including Hermitude, Middle Kids, Mashd N Kutcher, Thundamentals and more.

BE Social’s whole ethos is centred on togetherness and resilience: by bringing musicians and audiences together in this part of Queensland, they’re ensuring that Mackay is going to be more than just a holiday destination this winter.
The festival’s first year was almost a non-starter, as bad weather almost caused BE Social in 2021 to be completely washed out. As festival organiser Michael Delaney explains however, they banded together and pulled it off.
“The 2021 event was one of the worst yet best experiences of my life.” he says.
“It was hard with so many one step forward two step back moments but when we opened the gates in crazy weather and the crowds flooded in I couldn’t have been happier.”
