Tinashe has unveiled the local artist who’ll be warming up the stage for her forthcoming Match My Freak Australian tour dates, naming Western Sydney-based, Kamilaroi/Samoan R&B artist Becca Hatch as her special guest at both her Melbourne and Sydney shows.
Nominated for an ARIA Award this year for Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award, Becca Hatch is known for her soulful sound and dynamic presence in the Australian contemporary R&B and dance scene, first rising to fame after winning triple j’s Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative in 2017.

The announcement follows on from Becca’s blockbuster slot supporting global superstars Coldplay on their recent sold-out Sydney shows, and the release of her debut album MAYDAY earlier this year, which saw her named New Talent of the Year at this year’s NIMAs.

Meanwhile, multi-platinum-certified pop/R&B disruptor singer, songwriter and dancer Tinashe is coming to Australia for summer festival season, also appearing at a string of NYE fests including Wildlands, Lost Paradise and Beyond The Valley in addition to these two East Coast headline dates.
