A few days prior to the Friday, 5th August release date, Bernard Fanning will be giving a very few fortunate fans an intimate glimpse into Civil Dusk with a special one-off show in Sydney.
Going down at The Giant Dwarf, a mere 200 tickets are available to the show, so unlike the usual ‘intimate’ show at say, Allphones Arena, this one is the real deal. Flanked by his band, Fanning will take audience members through the album in warm and cozy detail with a high likelihood of charming anecdotes and non sequiturs.
Civl Dusk is the third solo offering from Fanning, who we all know rose to prominence as the frontman from Powderfinger. In the 10-odd years on his own, Fanning has been confirmed as one of Australia’s greatest and prolific storytellers.
Civil Dusk is testament to that, with the album being a two-part release. Brutal Dawn will drop sometime next year – Fanning’s clearly got a lot on his mind.
