Original Story: Tonight’s news that Stereosonic has reportedly been cancelled for good has – unlike the majority of Stereo artists – struck a massive chord.
The hearts of EDM bros across the nation have snapped like glowsticks, with the rest of the music-loving populous pretty much just straight-up roflcoptering at their expense, while others have taken the news as yet another foreboding sign about the future of Australia’s major touring music festivals.
But regardless of your opinion on Stereosonic, the controversial dance mega-party has been a cornerstone of the Australian festival scene since 2007, and its loss has triggered a huge emotional reaction on both sides of the fence, as well as some #topbantz across social media.
