Beyonce And Kings Of Leon Headline V Fest 2013

The line-up for the ever-popular V Festival was unveiled overnight and, dare I say, it’s arguably the most impressive festival line-up for the upcoming UK summer so far. Seriously, Glastonbury better have some tricks up its sleeve (and hurry up with their main stage announcement) if they want to top this.

Fresh from selling out her UK tour in 12 minutes last week, Beyonce will join Kings Of Leon as co-headliners of the twin festivals, which take place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire on 17th and 18th August. Both were heavily rumoured to be topping the bill at this year’s festival, and the rumours have obviously turned out to be true.

They’ve got an equally as impressive support card too. Fellow female songstress Emeli Sande, fresh from her Brit Award haul, and Jessie J will warm the stage for Beysus, while on the rock side of things, Beady Eye, The Script, Stereophonics and The Vaccines are all set to be crowd pleasers. Indie pop fans are also sorted with Two Door Cinema Club, Of Monsters & Men and Fun on the bill as well.

Calvin Harris is set to tear apart the dance tent while former UK X Factor winners Little Mix and James Arthur will also appear at the festival.

If you’re going to be in the UK in August and you’re keen to go, tickets to V Festival UK go on sale this Friday, 1st March at 9am local time, which equates to 8pm AEDT. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming months. More info on the festival can be found at its official website.
