Beyoncé has been keeping her fans fed this week, and now she’s taking it a step further by reportedly finally making her 2016 album Lemonade available on Apple Music & Spotify next week, according to Variety.
The album is widely considered Beyoncé’s best, as well as one of the best albums of that year, but was previously only available to stream on TIDAL, which she co-owns with husband Jay-Z and a bunch of other huge artists. It was also available to purchase on iTunes and Amazon Music, as well as physical copies from retailers.
But, like everything she does, Beyoncé doing this now is no coincidence. The album will be made available to stream from Tuesday, 23rd April which also happens to me the three year anniversary of the album’s initial release. This will be the first time Beyoncé’s entire catalog will be available to stream.
This news comes just hours after she dropped her Netflix documentary Homecoming, as well as surprise releasing a live album of the same name. Both the doco and the album are centred around her 2018 Coachella headline performance.
