Big Scary’s Tom Iansek Unveils Mysterious New Project No Mono

After wowing Australia with their mesmerising 2015 Like A Version cover of FKA Twigs’ ‘Two Weeks’, Big Scary‘s Tom Iansek and singer-songwriter Tom Snowdon have linked up again for a mysterious new project called No Mono.

The collab has apparently been evolving behind closed doors for some time, with the two Toms’ secret musical tryst beginning all the way back in 2014, when they teamed up to work on Iansek’s now-hibernated project #1 DadsAbout Face record.

And their first fresh public PDA comes in the form of a haunting new slice of electronica dubbed ‘Butterflies’, which pairs Snowdon’s other-worldly vocals with Iansek’s production prowess.

Tom Snowdon says of the collab: “For the past two years we’ve been developing songs for this project, which we recently recorded at the Pieater studio in Collingwood (BellBird). We like similar music and sounds and are great friends.

“It’s been a very intuitive process,” he continues. “That’s what this project is really about – exploring and cultivating our artistic relationship, we just follow our ears and our guts.”

You can listen to the duo’s debut single ‘Butterflies’ below, and stay tuned for more.
