Actor, comedian and music-lover Bill Murray has revealed he’ll tour Australia this year off the back of his recent classical crossover album New Worlds.
Backed by his cellist collaborator Jan Vogler, as well as violinist Mira Wang and pianist Vanessa Perez, Murray will perform songs from the album — on which he reads literature over chamber music — at some huge shows in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in November.
Why?
Showcasing writers like Twain, Hemingway, Whitman, Cooper and Bernstein, the New Worlds show has been described by Murray as “the collision of America and Europe”, reflecting the backgrounds of each of the four members of the touring group.
