Last week, Billie Eilish announced she’d be bringing her Happier Than Ever world tour to Australia in September 2022. Ahead of tomorrow’s Chugg, Frontier and Live Nation pre-sale, new shows have been added in each location.
As originally planned, the Australian leg of the tour will begin in Sydney on Tuesday, 13th September 2022. Eilish will now play a second Sydney show the following day, before heading to Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, all of which have also gained an extra date.
That makes it an eight show run in all; no surprise given Eilish’s long, loving relationship with Australian audiences. In addition to claiming top spot in Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2019 with the 11× Platinum ‘Bad Guy’, Eilish has been selling out shows in Australia since her first visit in 2017. She returned in early 2018 for the Laneway Festival tour and again in mid-2019 for Groovin the Moo and numerous sold out headline dates.
The Happier Than Ever tour dates are by far Eilish’s biggest to date, however, hitting venues such as Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and RAC Arena in Perth. The tour derives its name from Eilish’s second studio album, which came out in July 2021.
