Billie Eilish’s forthcoming second studio album, Happier Than Ever will arrive in just one week. Now, Eilish has announced it’ll come with a concert film.
The concert film will be a couple of months away — premiering on Disney+ on Friday, 3rd September. It’s called Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles and we have a teaser for it down below.
“A self reflection about growth,” says Billie Eilish, opening the teaser.
“I definitely romanticised Los Angeles, we all have these idealised version of ourselves in our head… I’ve never done anything like this.”
Sounds spicy.
As well as the teaser, Billie Eilish did an interview with Vevo.
“I wanted to make a very timeless record that wasn’t just timeless in terms of what other people thought, but really just timeless for myself,” says Billie opening the interview.
She says she drew inspiration from Julie London, Frank Sinatra, and Peggy Lee.
“Before I felt under pressure and anxious. I felt like I wasn’ doing enough right, I felt like I wasn’t doing a good job,” explains Billie Eilish.
“I felt like I wasn’t very talented at the time and I actually feel much more confident in my craft now.”
Eilish goes on to say, “This album was made in a very perfect time for me creatively. It was just so natural and easy and fun and calm.”
She’s asking fans to listen to the album in their cars with the seat reclined back and your eyes closed.
Happier Than Ever will drop next Friday, 30th July.
