This year’s State Of The Art (SOTA) music festival will be headlined by none other than Perth five-piece Birds Of Tokyo, who are set to play their first Perth show in over two years at the WA festival this WA Day long weekend.
The local lads, who are working with Tool producer David Bottril on their forthcoming EP, will take to the festival with new material in their back pockets. That said, there’s also their stellar four-album back catalogue at hand, including their latest full-length, March Fires.
The 2015 SOTA lineup (below) spans multiple genres and eras, and celebrates local WA talent. This year’s celebrations will include rockers You Am I, Downsyde, who will premiere their first new tunes in over five years, The Drones’ frontman Gareth Liddiard, a Holy Rollers reunion show, and more. Another 30 acts are still to be announced for the festival lineup, as part of the free SOTA Surrounds program.
The fourth annual SOTA music festival is also promising acoustic performances, licensed areas, and even a food truck market. The festival will take place on Saturday, 30th May. View the full lineup alongside ticket and venue details, below.
