Brisbane venue Black Bear Lodge will hold its official opening event and live music launch on the 12th, 13th and 14th of August. The iconic venue was formerly known as the Troubadour and closed down in November 2010. However in April 2011 it was announced the venue would re-open with a new owner under the name Black Bear Lodge.
You can see intimate live sets this weekend from Kellie Lloyd and Tim Steward (Screamfeeder), Ben Salter (Gin Club), Dominic Miller (Rocketsmiths), Andrew Morris (Wilson Pickers) and Timothy Carroll, who has only recently returned to Australia after a year-long songwriting sojourn to Northern Europe. Live music kicks off from 7pm on Friday and Saturday and from 5pm on Sunday.
Black Bear Lodge is a free entry establishment. Open from 6pm Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 4pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
