’90s alt-rock legends Blind Melon have cancelled their upcoming Australian tour just days out from its kick off date.
The band were due to hit Australia for shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney starting next week but have today announced the shows will not go ahead. “Apologies to the fans, but we will reschedule dates as soon as possible,” reads a statement.
According to the band’s Facebook, just this week two band members pulled out of a show in Canada “due to the unexpected loss of a family member”. It is not clear whether this is related to the cancellation of the Australian tour.
Tickets to shows are refundable fully through the point of purchase.
For the sake of nostalgia, relive the all time classic that still is Blind Melon’s No Rain video, starring its iconic bumblebee girl. Who looks like this today, btw.
