As noted by Contact Music, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has taken to his Twitter account to publicly acknowledge the 3rd Anniversary of the passing of his close friend Adam Goldstein, more commonly known to the public as DJ AM.
Barker and Goldstein survived a private plane crash in 2008 that left both men critically injured while sadly claiming the lives of the other four passengers. Then almost a year after the incident, Goldstein passed away from an accidental drug overdose.
In Barker’s Twitter tribute to AM, the celebrated drummer admits he still very much feels the pain of loss, and thanks Goldstein for helping him battle his own drug demons. Baker wasn’t alone in remembering DJ AM, with other famed musicians such as Steve Aoki, who tweeted the collage embedded below, and A-Trak paying tribute to their fallen comrade.
