Bloc Party have added two juicy new details to their upcoming Australian tour: a homegrown support act and a headline show in Adelaide.
The band, who are set to perform their 2005 debut album Silent Alarm in full for Aussie fans between November and December, will now be kicking off their tour down under with a show at Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre.
Bloc Party have also announced Sydney’s genre-blending wizards Haiku Hands as the support act for the entire tour — watch their hypnotic music video for ‘Not About You’, below.
Bloc Party’s current lineup consists of longtime frontman Kele Okereke, Russell Lissack (guitar), Justin Harris (bass) and Louise Bartle (drums). The group released their latest studio album Hymns in 2016, following the departure of longtime bassist Gordon Moakes.
The UK outfit last toured Australia during Falls Festival 2015/2016, while Kele Okereke performed in Australia earlier this year behind his latest solo album Fatherland.
