The final artists have been announced for Bluesfest 2022. This year’s festival runs from Thursday, 14th April – Monday, 18th April at the Byron Events Farm in Tyagarah, NSW.
Headliners include Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Amy Shark, Kasey Chambers, The Teskey Brothers and the Cat Empire. The following acts have been added to the mix:
Honeydripper’s Dylan Party – a Bob Dylan tribute performance curated by Joe Camilleri and buttressed by The Black Sorrows. Guests include Ross Wilson, Emma Donovan, Russell Morris, Kevin Borich, Fiona Boyes, Tex Perkins, Nicky Bomba, Lisa Hunt, The Brewster Brothers, Lachy Doley, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Roshani and Darlinghurst.
Bluesfest also welcomes First Nations songwriter Kev Carmody & Friends, Little River Band’s Glenn Shorrock and Dutch soul and reggae artist Clarence Bekker. Also announced are the Bluesfest Busking Competition winners: Bronte Eve (over 18) and Ben Swissa Trio (grommets).
“I have always said, ‘When Bluesfest returns, it will be with a bang!’ and these special artists completing our Bluesfest 2022 lineup really put the cream on top of the cherry which was already on top of the cream which was already covering the Bluesfest cake,” said Bluesfest director, Peter Noble.
