Bluesfest Touring has announced some excellent news for those devastated by the cancellation of Bluesfest 2020. Looking ahead to 2021, the touring and event company has revealed that fourteen acts that were set to play this year’s festival will return to tour the country next year.
A list of acts including Patti Smith, George Benson, The Gipsy Kings, Toni Kelly and Buffy Sainte-Marie will all return down under to perform headline shows in 2021.
While it’s yet to be confirmed whether these acts will also perform at next year’s Bluesfest Byron Bay, the signs look pretty good at this stage given they’ll all be here around the same time during March and April.
Other acts also confirmed to be heading to Australia next year are Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Larkin Poe, LP, The Marcus King Band, Morcheeba, The Wailers, Walter Trout, and The War & Treaty.
On top of that, Allen Stone and The Eagles Of Death Metal will also play headline shows, but dates for those two are yet to be announced.
In announcing the shows, Bluesfest Touring revealed an update on the recent news that the refund process for the 2020 festival is well underway.
“Bluesfest Touring appreciates the patience of its valued patrons and are glad to advise that information relating to the rescheduled dates including a refund process will be communicated to patrons by the end of the day, ticket-holders are encouraged to check their inbox and spam,” said organisers.’
